Belgium to Russia – 6 Excavator Buckets

Tuscor Lloyds has just completed the port to port shipment of 6 out of gauge excavator buckets, transported from the port of Antwerp, Belgium to the port of Vladivostok, Russia.

Tuscor Lloyds are working with clients in the mining industry to transport the specialist mining equipment needed for a development in Vladivostok, in the far east of Russia.

The excavator buckets arrived at the port of Antwerp loaded into 3 side-opening trucks which had transported the cargo from the manufacturing plant. Tuscor Lloyds arranged for the buckets to be unloaded from the trucks, positioned and securely lashed to 2 x 40ft flatrack containers suitable to handle the weight of each bucket and providing ample lashing points to ensure the cargo would be fully secured for the long ocean journey to the port of Vladivostok.

The out of gauge cargo pieces (weighing 3.8 tons each) were secured using heavy duty ratchet straps and steel chains before being checked and confirmed as ready for shipment to Russia. The flatrack containers were then loaded onto a container vessel and shipped to Vladivostok, Russia.

The container vessel arrived on time as scheduled and the 40ft flatrack containers were unloaded after a 47 day transit to the port of Vladivostok.
